MIKROS VORIAS - Lagorthi

 
         
VARIETY: Lagorthi is an exclusive and indigenous variety of the region, from the private vineyards of OENOFOROS.
   
CULTIVATION AREA: The Trapeza of Aigion plateau, at an altitude of 840 meters.
   
HARVEST – VINIFICATION: Lagorthi is a variety with particular character that matures at an alcoholic degree 11 % and has a smooth acidity with high levels of malic acid. The grapes are harvested during the first ten days of September. They remain in the fridge for 24h and then they are de-stemmed and stay in the cold tank for 18 hours (contact of the skins with the must before fermentation). Afterwards, we follow all the essential principles of modern white vinification, while its storage “sur lies” (onto lees) is a procedure that intensifies its features.
             
ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES:          

Strong bouquet of peach, watermelon and basil that are finely combined with citrus fruits aromas (lemon, lime, grapefruit) in a mineral background.
Elegant and subtle in the mouth, cool with a fairly long aromatic aftertaste. Light wine of low alcoholic degree.

             
FOOD AND WINE PAIRING:          

Try it cool at  10°C-12°C. Its taste is subtle but with no intensity. Try it with seafood risotto and steam-cooked vegetables.
