VARIETY: The classy, famous and special Riesling.
   
CULTIVATION AREA: Our private vineyard on the TRAPEZA plateau, at an altitude of 840 meters over the Corinthian Gulf. Panoramic north-facing aspect.
   
HARVEST – VINIFICATION: The grapes are harvested during the second ten days of September, after systematic monitoring of their maturation course. They are collected in crates and come to the winery on the same day. They remain in the fridge for 24 hours and then they are de-stemmed and stay in a cold tank for 12 hours (contact of the skins with the must before fermentation). After that, they are carried to the press, where the must is separated, yielding almost 60%. Then, there is an intense static racking, inoculation and fermentation at 15±1°C. When the alcoholic fermentation and the first racking are over the wine is clarified, lightly filtered and bottled..
             
ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES:           Mikros Vorias Riesling is a white wine with strong and special character. It impresses by fist smell. Aromas of white blossoms (gardenia, jasmine) are explosively combined with those of basil and mint. Rich in the mouth with a fresh acidity that maintains the harmony in taste. Long and aromatic aftertaste. .
             
FOOD AND WINE PAIRING:          

Riesling is a wine with a strong and special aroma and a rich, fresh taste. It is an excellent aperitif but can nicely accompany strong dishes, like Asian menus, seafood plates, strong cheeses, seafood paste. It goes with sweet and sour flavors, salads, sweet tomato. Try it with baked manouri cheese with honey. Served at 12°C-14°C.
