MIKROS VORIAS - Rosé

VARIETY: Produced by Syrah variety and small quantities of Roditis / Viogner.

CULTIVATION AREA: At the Trapeza of Aigion plateau, at an altitude of 840 meters.

HARVEST – VINIFICATION: The grapes are harvested during the second ten days of September, after systematic monitoring of their maturation course. They are collected in crates and come to the winery on the same day. After a direct de-stemming, the must remains in a low temperature tank (8οC) for 4 hours. Afterwards, every principle of the modern “white” vinification is followed at a medium fermentation temperature of 15οC.

ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES:

Rosé wine with the rich bouquet of the Syrah. The aromas of small red blossoms and of violet are those prevailing, but also the “white” aromas of green apple, passion fruit and grapefruit, covered in a strong ruby color, typical of rosé wines. Rich body with nice aftertaste and fresh taste at the same time.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRING:

Pleasant aperitif. It goes with most dishes of the Greek cuisine (oil-cooked dishes, chicken) but also of many other origins. Especially interesting with steam-cooked dishes. Served at 12ο-14οC.
